Switzerland: Adam Hawthorne \u201919 visited Zurich and Lucern with parents, Robert and Vonda Hawthorne.<\/a> Utah: Jeremy DiGorio \u201911 packed his Tiger Rag on a hike of Angels Landing, a 1,488-foot-tall rock formation, in Zion National Park<\/a> Colorado: Brad McFall \u201989 took a skiing trip with his wife, Leslie, his son, Bradley, and his daughter, Audrey, in Aspen.<\/a> Oregon: Kelli Garcia \u201910 traveled to the Pacific Northwest and visited the Oregon Coast to see the Haystack Rock landmark in Cannon Beach, Oregon.<\/a> Russia: Janis Parham Piland \u201983 traveled to Krasnoyarsk in Central Siberia for her son\u2019s wedding. \u201cOur daughter-in-law is from Krasnoyarsk, and we had the pleasure of traveling there last year to celebrate their marriage and meet her warm, wonderful family,\u201d she wrote.<\/a> Arizona: Jenny Litzenberger \u201911 planned an extensive hiking and driving trip to Colorado, Utah and Arizona at the end of February 2021. \u201cThis picture was taken in Sedona, Arizona on the Cathedral Rock Trail,\u201d she wrote. \u201cIt is only listed at 0.7 miles, but it is extremely steep and difficult. There are \u2018cairns\u2019 throughout to guide you along the trail, since it is sometimes difficult to see a path when you are hiking on rock faces. A cairn is the basket of rocks in the picture, but they may also be in a stacked, tower-like rock structure.\u201d<\/a> Austria: Clay Smoak \u201910 visited the Gloriette, an architectural fixture of the Sch\u00f6nbrunn Palace Garden, in Vienna.<\/a> Tennessee: From left to right, Candace Hall \u201910, Lyndsey Williams Mayweather \u201910, April Smith \u201908, Alexia Richardson \u201910 and Nyamekyer Sonja Badu \u201911 celebrated their 32nd birthdays in the mountains of Tennessee on a hiking trip led by fellow Clemson alum Ryan Maum \u201917, who owns and operates Experience Chattanooga. Ryan shot the photo of the group on the overlook of Cumberland Mountain. \u201cWe celebrated our 19th birthdays together in Calhoun Courts and have been celebrating together ever since!\u201d wrote Lynsey.<\/a> Australia: Patrick Sturgis \u201912 was relocated to Australia for work just before the pandemic. When the Northern Territory opened its borders, he quickly jumped on the opportunity to take a trip to Alice Springs to see the remote Australian Outback, including the Standley Chasm.<\/a> Cayman Islands: Mark Ph.D. \u201910 and Ekaterina \u201cKatya\u201d Yazykova Ph.D. \u201912 Mellott \u2014 who are both senior lecturers in Clemson\u2019s MPA program \u2014 snapped a picture with their Tiger Rag off Grand Cayman Island after snorkeling with the family.<\/a><\/div><\/div><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
