Washington: Doug Morte \u201913<\/strong> made it to the summit of Mount Rainier, which stands at 14,410 feet, in 45 mph winds.<\/p>\n

Utah: Kathy Martin Lander \u201982 and her brother Pete Martin \u201984 on a hike at Canyonlands National Park in Utah.<\/a> Wyoming: Anuj Kadam M \u201920, Arpit Patel M \u201920, Karan Dalal M \u201920, Purvang Desai M \u201920, Harsh Shah M \u201920 and Hardik Satam M \u201920 explored Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park in July 2021 \u2014 part of a five-day, four-state adventure. \u201cThe trip involved waking up at 2 a.m. to watch the animals before sunrise, driving 1,300 miles to cover the best spots as well as a 4.5-mile strenuous hike to a lake in the middle of the mountain,\u201d Hardik wrote. \u201cThe Tiger Rag accompanied us throughout the trip.\u201d<\/a> Switzerland: Cecelia Jackson \u201905 and her husband visited family in Geneva, Switzerland, in July shortly after Cecilia\u2019s retirement from Clemson at the end of June.<\/a> Colorado: John Cely and Heyward Douglass \u201969 stopped at West Maroon Pass for a picture during their hike on the Four Pass Loop trail near Aspen, Colorado.<\/a> California: Caroline Churchill \u201918 traveled to the other Death Valley in the summer of 2021.<\/a> Montana: Hal Miley \u201912, M \u201913 and his mom, Caroline Hammond Stephenson \u201975, on the Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier National Park during a family trip.<\/a> North Dakota: Sheri West Symanski \u201988 hiked the North Unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park in western North Dakota.<\/a> Italy: Phil Scott \u201983, Ann Scott \u201987, Wilson Scott \u201913, Gracie Scott \u201919, Anna Scott Ruecker \u201918 and Robin Ruecker, who was a Clemson Exchange student in Fall 2017, in Monte Baldo, Italy. \u201cWe were in Germany for our daughter\u2019s wedding,\u201d Ann wrote.<\/a> California: On September 21, 2021, Jimmy Rayford \u201997 and a group of eight colleagues completed a single-day hike of Mount Whitney, the highest point in the lower 48 states at 14,500 feet. The hike was 22 miles round trip with 6,000 feet of elevation gain and a 33 percent success rate. Jimmy\u2019s team was nine for nine. \u201cIn 24 hours, it was a dream, nightmare, near tragedy and happy ending,\u201d Jimmy wrote. \u201cWords can\u2019t explain the adventure. It was truly a lifetime memory!\u201d<\/a> California: James \u201997 and Jaye Contrastano \u201997 Levitsky took a trip to the \u201cother\u201d Death Valley with their kids, Jack and Ava. \u201cA blazing 130 degrees Fahrenheit was only 4 degrees lower than the highest recorded temperature in the valley!\u201d James wrote.<\/a> Alaska: Twins Sarah \u201914 and Sam \u201914 Grosse stopped for a photo with their Tiger Rag in front of Bodenburg Butte, a mountain in the Matanuska Valley of Palmer, Alaska.<\/a> Colorado: Rob \u201904, M \u201906 and Jennifer \u201904, M \u201906 Green traveled to Telluride for a two-week vacation with their children, Olivia, Michael and Thomas \u2014 and their Tiger Rag!<\/a> Illinois: John J. Evans \u201901, M \u201903, Paulette J. Evans \u201901 and Rondell A. Lee \u201905 visited the Skydeck on the 103rd floor of the Willis Tower in Chicago.<\/a> Dominican Republic: Michael Dulcie \u201912 and Katie Cheney \u201914 married on August 6, 2021 in Canton, N.C. The newlyweds packed their Tiger Rag on their honeymoon to the Dominican Republic.<\/a> Montana: Catie Cornett \u201908, Caitlin O'Neill Keller \u201909 and Everette Keller \u201910 traveled to Glacier National Park for a week of hiking and camping in August.<\/a> South Dakota: Lisa Britt \u201901 visited Park Ranger Julianna Ellis \u201914 in the Badlands of South Dakota.
