About Us

Clemson World has informed, engaged and entertained the alumni and friends of Clemson University since the early 1970s.

Our mission is simple: to tell the stories of Clemson. Through creative and innovative writing, design, photography, video and technology, we communicate the determined spirit of Clemson’s alumni, faculty, staff and students. We offer a glimpse into the personality of the institution through the stories and images of her people.

Clemson World is published three times a year, in January, June and September. The Fall issue (September) is mailed to all alumni, as well as donors. The other two issues are mailed to alumni and friends who have made a gift in the current or previous year, as well as recent graduates.

Managing Editor

Charlotte finds joy in connecting with people and sharing stories through words. Her path to Clemson was inspired by a profound talk during her undergraduate years in Texas, steering her toward a master’s degree before she ultimately found her place at Clemson. 

Davis potter

Associate Editor

A recovering sports journalist, Davis’ true passion lies in having a hand in the entire storytelling process with no detail too small. When he’s not writing or editing content for Clemson World, Davis enjoys traveling, cooking, sipping a good beer and attending sporting events, even if he now has to do so on his own dime.

BRYCE CONTI ’17, M ’19

Art Director

Bryce stumbled upon his passion for creativity and graphic design during his time at Clemson. Mixing old-school wisdom with the latest trends, he whips up designs that stand out. When he’s not glued to his computer, you’ll find Bryce chilling on Lake Keowee, trying out cool eateries and brew spots, and wandering around Greenville, South Carolina, with his furry sidekick, Crawford.


Executive Creative Director

Jesse oversees the expression of the Clemson brand across all channels, ensuring that we are expressing Clemson’s story consistently and creatively everywhere we’re telling it. He also teaches “Brand Design and Creative Direction” through Clemson’s Erwin Center for Brand Communication and Graphic Communications programs.

Heidi Coryell Williams

Executive Director of Storytelling

We all have a story to tell; Heidi’s role at Clemson is to spend as much time as possible seeking out and consuming the most captivating narratives. Exploring different ways to share Tigers’ stories means time well-spent with the creators of Clemson World.


Chief Copy Editor

Emily supports the Clemson World editorial team through content editing, research and writing. She appreciates the opportunity to share the stories of her fellow Tigers and those with a special connection to Clemson. Outside of work, Emily enjoys reading, listening to music and podcasts, and spending time with her husband, who is also a Clemson graduate.

Ashley Jones

Director of Photography

Ashley brings an eye for detail and a fresh take on old campus sites. She‘s been known to take her shoes off and wade in streams, lie down in the dirt, do “photographer’s yoga” or anything else it takes to get the best shot.

Josh brings energy and humor every day to his work at Clemson. Add to that a great eye for catching the action and a passion for doing whatever it takes to make things great.

Photography Coordinator / Photographer

Craig captures the essence of Clemson in his photography. A 1998 graduate, he also runs a wedding photography business, Sposa Bella Photography, with his wife, Lindsey.



Sydney captures Clemson’s campus and people in a way that makes them feel comfortable and perfectly at home. Since she was recently a student and received her master’s degree in plant and environmental sciences, she brings the joys of student life back to alumni everywhere.


Junior Copy Editor

A Clemson alumnus and full-time writer for the University, Robert crafts compelling narratives that capture the spirit of his alma mater and supports the Clemson World editorial team through content editing. When he is not writing, Robert tends to spend his free time reading, listening to music or enthusiastically delving into his interest in film and film theory — a passion further cultivated while obtaining his degree in world cinema.


Associate Vice President, Brand Experience

Dave’s guiding hand keeps the Clemson World team on target with design and with content. He’s also a gourmet chef, regularly posting photos of his culinary creations on his Instagram page. He’s the associate vice president for brand experience.
