In its search for volunteers, the Clemson Alumni Association answers frequently asked questions about serving fellow Tigers and staying connected

As an alum, what are the best ways to remain engaged with Clemson University?

Returning to campus for alumni events, following @ClemsonAlumni on social media and updating your contact information to receive updated communications. But to maintain that Clemson Family feel, you can also get involved with a local club and/or affinity group.

What is a Clemson club or group? And what do they do?

The Alumni Association’s club and group network serves as a direct connection back to Clemson in your local community. It provides opportunities for alumni, fans, family and more to network, gather and celebrate Clemson.

Our clubs (geography-based) and groups (affinity-based) host different events throughout the year, from watch parties to student send-offs and everything in between. Most clubs also support a scholarship or endowment that benefits local students.

Why should I get involved?

We all know there’s “something in these hills.” Clemson is unique and special because of its people, so our club and group network helps maintain connections and support Clemson.

If I want to be more involved, what can I do next?

The first step is to ensure your contact information is up to date so that you receive communications from your local club. You can do this at alumni.clemson.edu/update. If you are interested in volunteering with a club or group, just say the word! We are always looking for people interested in helping to organize club events, fundraise to support scholarships and bring a little bit of the Clemson Family to their local area.

What’s the best way to make sure I hear about events in my area?

Check your email for communications from your local club and the Alumni Association, follow both on social media, and reach out to the Alumni Association if you have any questions.
