National Scholars Program (NSP) student, Rhodes Scholar finalist and Norris Medal winner Sara Alkelani ’26 has a passion for storytelling, using her voice to uplift others and ensure their stories get told. Her study abroad trips with NSP and photography internship with Clemson University’s Division of Marketing and Communications have helped her hone that passion into a talent.

“Storytelling has always been super important to me, which is why I even got into the world of photography,” she said.

Alkelani believes the Clemson Family belongs to us all, regardless of who we are or where we come from, and she puts those beliefs into action every day. She’s touched the lives of so many other students and community members, and the mark she’s made on campus will last long after her graduation.

Here’s a look at Clemson through her lens.

Tigerama is a chance for students, alumni and fans to come together and celebrate Homecoming with our biggest pep rally each year.

Everyone belongs in the Clemson Family, and the more we spread our arms to welcome people in, the richer our experience becomes, and the more we have to celebrate.

The Clemson Ring is one of our proudest traditions, signaling to the world that we’re proud of our place as Tigers and what we’ve learned and accomplished in these hallowed halls.

“I came to this school with the idea that I might not fit into the Clemson Family, but I found my place, and I’ve been able to build out that Clemson Family for others. I’ve made a community for myself and brought other people into that community, redefining what the Clemson Family means. It’s not just one specific type of student or one specific type of person; it’s everybody.”
