During a visit to Grand Cayman with my girlfriend, Kirsten Gary who graduated from SMU, I went SCUBA diving with her Dad, Donald Gary. Donald lives and works in Grand Cayman. One of the dives we completed was on the wreck of the USS Kittiwake in Grand Cayman, which can be seen in the background.

As a high school history teacher, Lisa Ferrara Cain ’91 attended the Centropa Summer Academy to learn 20th Century Jewish history. While there, the teachers followed in the footsteps of Archduke Franz Ferdinand’s journey before his assassination. They began in Vienna and ended in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina, where at the north end of the Latin Bridge, the archduke was assassinated in 1914.
Miles Thomas ’00 carried his lucky Clemson shirt with him on his four day, 26 mile hike to Machu Picchu in Peru. As founder and president of the New Orleans Clemson Club, Miles prides himself on being an orange outpost for the Tigers, a position he gladly maintains while abroad.

Beverley Harrison Moore ’78 and her husband Ralston Moore lived in Brazil for three years where Ralston was stationed with his company Michelin. Denis ’77 and Barbara Carrington visited the Moores in Rio de Janeiro while on vacation.
While traveling to an equestrian trade fair in Beijing, China, Blake and Taylor Banta stopped off at the Great Wall of China. They donned their Tiger glasses and unfurled the Tiger paw flag under the carefull scrutiny of nearby Chinese security personel.
