Patagonia: Kristin Archie Ditto '12

This March, Kristin Archie Ditto ’12 hiked Southern Patagonia with a group of friends. Here, she is at the Perito Moreno Glacier in Argentina, one of the most incredible views of the trip. “It was the perfect place to showcase my Clemson pride. Go Tigers!”

Alaska: Brian Cashion M '75, Ph.D. '80

Brian Cashion M ’75, Ph.D. ’80, and Sara Ungrodt toured Alaska in March 2018. The tour included a bush plane flight from Fairbanks to Coldfoot, followed by a tour bus ride back to Fairbanks, including a stop at the Arctic Circle!
“We observed a great night of aurorae at the Yukon River Camp and at Joy, Alaska. We also had great fun on sled dog rides at Dallas Seavey’s training facility. There are 66 adult dogs and over 20 puppies. The Anchorage Museum has recently been refurbished and is a must-see.”

Tanzania: Charles Rogers '10 and Rogers Coxe '11

Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity brothers Charles Rogers ’10 and Rogers Coxe ’11 and three others climbed 19,341 feet to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, known as “the Roof of Africa.”

Shannon Fisher ’13, Jorge Rodriguez, professor of mechanical and bioengineering, Carson Joye ’15, Elizabeth Zanin ’17, Zach Hadock ’17, Chris Lane ’18, Zack Thomson ’18, Lucas Staccioli ’16, Bill O’Connell ’16 and George Rawls ’17 all traveled to Germany on a study abroad trip focused on studying sustainable energy and exploring German culture.
