The unexpected reunion of Clemson alumni happened when the group was unknowingly assigned to the same dive boat during their vacation.

Audrey McFall ’21, Catie Haenel ’21, Charlie Pickens ’21, Emma Turpin ’21, Laughton Short ’21, Nick Murphy ’21, Charlie O’Tuel ’21 and Duncan Ellison ’21 hiked 241 stairs to go see the chapel at San Juan de Gaztelugatxe during a study abroad opporunity in Bilbao, Spain. “The location is very famous in Spanish culture and also where some of ‘Game of Thrones’ was filmed. Go Tigers!”
Thomas Sanders ’61 and his wife, Yvette, cruised around the Antarctica Peninsula, “where it was cold and other-worldly but unbelievably beautiful!”
“We went on vacation to Paris in May 2019. We visited the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre and ate plenty of pastries, but we couldn’t leave without taking a picture with our Clemson flag in front of the iconic Eiffel Tower.”
Amy Richardson Murray ’79 and her husband, Steve, were in Israel during April and May 2019. “Our Israeli bus driver, ‘Money Mike,’ keeps a Tiger Rag on display in his bus and often sports a Clemson cap!” writes Murray.
