Shannon Fisher ’13, Jorge Rodriguez, professor of mechanical and bioengineering, Carson Joye ’15, Elizabeth Zanin ’17, Zach Hadock ’17, Chris Lane ’18, Zack Thomson ’18, Lucas Staccioli ’16, Bill O’Connell ’16 and George Rawls ’17 all traveled to Germany on a study abroad trip focused on studying sustainable energy and exploring German culture.

Paul Kern ’14 and Meagan Hoffman ’13, M ’15 traveled to Iceland in November 2017 to drive the Golden Circle and catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights. They proudly displayed their Tiger Rag at Skógafoss!

Yosemite: Kristen & Atticus Mabry '11

We started planning this trip with my uncle (a Carolina Law graduate) over a year ago, and it exceeded all expectations. The views in Yosemite can’t be beat, and the experience is that of a lifetime! All together, we hiked over 55 miles, and ascended to over 8,600 feet at Half Dome. We also hiked up to the top of Yosemite Falls, Yosemite Point, Sentinel Dome, and Glacier Point. We ended up running into some Clemson grads and South Carolinians along our adventure and even a freshman starting this year…Go Tigers!
Our Story: We both met at Clemson while undergraduates in the Pre-Veterinary program. Now married, we split our time between Greenville, Greenwood, and Athens, GA. Kristen is a Veterinary Student at UGA and I am a Veterinarian.

North Cascades National Park: Jordan Burbage '11, M '13

In a trip that included 3 National Parks, 2 states, and ~1 foreign country (Canada), Jordan Burbage ’11, M ’13 stands atop the ironically named Easy Pass in North Cascades National Park.

Arizona: Kemper Brand ’08 and Sarah Brand ’10, M ’11

Kemper and Sarah Brand flew out to Phoenix, AZ, to see the Tigers play for the National Championship! On the morning of the big game, they climbed Camelback Mountain just outside of Phoenix. The awe-inspiring views at the pinnacle made the tough, rugged 1,300-foot ascent well worth it. It was a wonderful part of the travel experience across the country!

Scotland: 2LT Rollins Jolly ’15, David Jolly ’88, and Levi Jolly

Picture of me and my two sons at the top of The Devil’s Staircase on the West Highland Way hiking trail in Scotland. This trip was in celebration of my eldest son’s, Rollins Jolly, graduation from Clemson and commissioning as a 2LT in the US Army. Trip was in June of this year (2015).

We met through ATO and were roommates most of our time at Clemson. We met up in San Francisco in May of ’13 to meet a mutual friend, Kevin Keith ’12. We stole his car and drove to Yosemite for 4 days. On the last day we got to summit half dome, the face of Yosemite National Park, on the first day it was open for the year.
